- Dr. Eskender Mume completed his PhD in the Department of Biochemistry and Organic Chemistry, Uppsala University, Sweden in 2005, on the topic Radiohalogenated Compounds for Tumor targeting, Synthesis and Radiolabeling. At ANSTO his research will involve the design and application of radioisotopes and radio-tracer probes to characterize the functional behaviour of novel materials. It will also involve the molecular interactions of positrons and electrons with various organic molecules in an effort to explore their potential for enhancing the diagnosis and therapy of disease.
