Positrons trapped

The first positrons have been trapped at the APBF. With the arrival of the new positron source last month, rapid progress has been made. Optimisation of the positron trap is continuing, but all the signs are very promising that a high resolution positron beam will be available in the next few weeks. Once a satisfactory beam is available, the first positron scattering experiments will be able to commence. For more information, see the APBF section of this site.
