New PALS Experiment Commissioned

Paul Guagliardo (UWA CAMS PhD Student) and Eskender Mume (ANU/ANSTO visiting Post Doctoral Fellow) test samples on the newly commissioned PALS unit at ANSTO in mid September 2008. Thanks to the generosity of Prof Jim Williams (UWA CAMS Node Director), the PALS unit will stay at ANSTO for the next 6 months. Paul Guagliardo will also stay at ANSTO for a short period to run the machine and receive training in radiochemistry and application of nuclear probes for assessing function of materials.

The commissioning of the PALS unit at ANSTO is a collaboration between the UWA and ANSTO CAMS Nodes.
