CAMS members in Northern Ireland
Monday 19th September, 2011

A very strong CAMS presence, including current staff and postgraduate students, associate members and former postdocs and students (such as Dan Slaughter, Adric Jones, Peter Caradonna and Leigh Hargreaves) now working at other international laboratories, attended the recent ICPEAC in Belfast, UK. Highlights included the invited talk given by Curtin Node member Associate Professor Dmitry Fursa, the "hot topic" talk given by joint ANU/Flinders postdoc Dr Jessica Brunton and the numerous posters showcasing the diversity of CAMS research that were presented. In addition, former CAMS CI Professor Birgit Lohmann was appointed to the ICPEAC Executive Committee and ANU node CI Dr James Sullivan was elected to the International Advisory Committee of the Positron and Positronium satellite meeting of ICPEAC as well as the ICPEAC General Committee.
